Rhea and Velko are still looking for a home. She is a Bordeaux Great Dane and he is a Pinscher.

Rhea is with us since 03.06. 2023. We took her in critical condition. She was very weak, severely dehydrated and unwilling to eat. Anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis, heartworm and severe uterine inflammation were diagnosed. Rhea was giving up, her eyes showed despair and sadness. She hadn't touched food in days, but we weren't ready to lose her. The fight for her life lasted a long time.

Velko had mange, thrown out, probably for that very reason. We took him in just 3 days after Rhea. After treatment for the skin disease, Velko underwent surgery to luxate one knee cap. At first he was very scared and distrustful. He reached to bite and had a hard time letting anyone near him.

Rhea and Velko were placed together in a foster home. They are very attached to each other and we would like to find them a home together.

Rhea is spayed, about 7-8 years old. She is calm and gentle. She is hard to trust, but once she feels loved she greets her loved one with joy and bounces.

Velko is about 6 years old, also neutered. If Rhea is hard to trust, he is extremely hard to trust. But when he gets the time he needs and realizes he will be loved and cuddled, he becomes the best and most affectionate friend, giving out kisses and hugs.

We are looking for that special someone, the one who will provide a peaceful life for Rhea and Velko, two cage mates who met in difficult times for both of them and overcame them together to move forward happy and loving!
